There are many different sizes, codes, scales, brands and types of tracks to use for your model railroad.  It may be confusing to the beginner as to which to use.  All of them will work, so ultimately, you really can't make a wrong decision here. Some are a little more difficult to connect, lay and wire than others. Some look more realistic than others. Some brands have flextrack.  Some have more variety in their standard curved tracks.
